I am an educational diagnostician, learning disabilities specialist and consultant, with extensive training and experience in helping students of all ages who are struggling in school.  I provide  comprehensive assessments, including professional diagnostic testing, and work with you in multiple ways to find the help that you and your student deserve.

My work is guided by an integrated inter-disciplinary approach and, when appropriate, I refer students to carefully selected specialists. Working with many students through the years has taught me that there is not any “one size fits all” method that helps everyone with learning difficulties to become a successful and happy learner.  I work with students of all ages, elementary through college, including students who have acquired learning difficulties from a head injury. My second language is Spanish and I work well with students who are English language learners or in language immersion programs.

Professional Credentials

Katherine Minton, PhD, MSEd, completed her doctoral work at the Union Institute and University, her master’s at Baylor University, and B.A. at Coe College. She is a certified educational diagnostician, with advanced interdisciplinary training and experience in the multiple and often complex issues that affect learning success. Dr. Minton was previously in private practice in northern Colorado and has served as an educational diagnostician and teacher in school districts and colleges in the U.S and Canada. She refers students, when needed, to a trusted network of highly-skilled specialists who are also guided by an integrated whole-person approach to developing strong learning abilities.
